Happy Belated Thanksgiving!

Hope everyone had a Tasty Thanksgiving.


I washed my last dirty pot three days after Turkey Day and found the kitchen counters.

Now all I have to do is clean the oven. Kinda nervous about using the self cleaning feature on this gas stove….any suggestions?

Confession. Last year was my first time cooking an entire Thanksgiving dinner by myself. In fear of serving a dry turkey, I cooked a back up bird.  A small turkey breast. Both birds came out perfect and juicy.

So this year I did the same thing. Its my good luck charm.


Two days before Thanksgiving, Mr. Spicy Lens requested a Electric Carving Knife like my dad’s.


I imagined us sitting in the emergency room on Thanksgiving day and purchased it anyway. Happy to report he still has 10 fingers and the turkey was cut safely.

I think its safe to say dinner was good.

Tried out a new appetizer this year, Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Blue Corn Chips.

I strongly suggest any one who cooks Thanksgiving  Dinner with little assistance should go get a 90 minute massage on Black Friday. Way better than any doorbuster!
